New impetus for women's health from 40 onwards: MEDICE Health Family and mkk – meine krankenkasse launch innovative occupational health management program for companies

On World Menopause Day, mkk – meine krankenkasse and MEDICE Health Family are raising awareness for women's health 40+.

With its digital offering “femfeel,” MEDICE Health Family provides support for women aged 40+, showing how lifestyle interventions can have a positive impact on well-being. The holistic offering for occupational health management includes a series of lectures with four female doctors and experts, as well as digital support through the femfeel app.

Following the successful pilot project with femfeel, mkk – meine krankenkasse is rolling out the joint women's health program for women over 40 nationwide for its partner companies. The aim is to support female employees going through menopause and to expand occupational health management (BGM) with a modern, digital component.

The program combines a series of specialist lectures with experts from the fields of medicine, neurobiology, sports science, and nutrition with certified femfeel prevention courses on progressive muscle relaxation and pelvic floor training via app. The response to the pilot project was overwhelming, and the femfeel and health insurance team are highly motivated to bring the successful concept to other companies.

“World Menopause Day is a special occasion for us to draw attention to the importance of women's health in working life,” emphasizes Marie Reger, founder of femfeel. "The collaboration with mkk – meine krankenkasse has shown how great the need is for holistic support for women over 40. Our combination of lectures and prevention courses was enthusiastically received by the participants. Together, we want to reach more companies and their female employees and set sustainable health trends."

The number of working women going through menopause has reached an all-time high. Currently, around nine million working women are in menopause. Andrea Galle, CEO of mkk – meine krankenkasse, emphasizes: “Especially in times of skilled labor shortages, companies would be well advised to address menopause as part of their occupational health management and to break new ground. At mkk – meine krankenkasse, we can support them in this endeavor so that women do not reach their limits at work because of menopause.”
