As a member of the MEDICE Health Family, Green Guides GmbH is committed to optimizing kitchen processes through sustainable practices. To promote ecological health, it focuses on reducing food waste and balancing meals based on health, climate, and environmental aspects.
The jury recognized the company for its role as a driving force behind a data-driven and resource-efficient food industry. The company's FOODPRiNT4U tool was highlighted as part of the award. It assesses the ecological and health impacts of individual dishes and provides real-time suggestions for optimizing meal planning. This and other innovative approaches help catering businesses to significantly reduce food waste, save resources, and operate economically at the same time.
“This award is a great honor for us and also an incentive,” says Torsten von Borstel, managing director of Green Guides. “We want to show that sustainability and economic efficiency can go hand in hand. The award encourages us to continue on this path and support even more companies in making the transition.” The jury emphasizes that Green Guides' approach is exemplary and can be transferred to other sectors. The company is thus setting an example for the entire industry.
“The health of the environment is the basis for human health. That is why ecological responsibility plays a central role for the entire MEDICE Health Family: we combine ecological responsibility with our understanding of health. For us, it is clear that only when society and the economy act in harmony for the benefit of the environment can sustainable health be achieved – today and for future generations”, adds Dr. Katja Pütter-Ammer.
