Our own beekeeping

Our company founder Gustav Pütter was already fascinated by bees. He bred honey bees. We are continuing this sustainable commitment and making a contribution to our ecosystem with our Health Family honey bees. Over the years, we have provided a protected home for 36 bee colonies - our own colonies on the MEDICE campus and sponsorships in the neighbourhood.

Result: A product of nature

In harmony with nature, we are continuing the sustainable commitment of MEDICE - The Health Family in its third generation. Our carefully extracted and bottled honey has been supplemented with high-quality organic honey from Germany. The combination results in a unique flavour experience.

Home of the bees

In long-term projects, we create natural habitats. Flowering meadows and traditional orchards provide a safe haven for wild and honey bees, as well as butterflies and hoverflies. Native wild plants such as viper’s bugloss, echium, and sand pink help preserve biodiversity and offer a diverse food supply for insects.

Preparation

Do not heat above 40 °C

High temperatures destroy valuable enzymes and nutrients in honey.

Dissolve in warm drinks

Honey is ideal for sweetening tea, milk or warm water - but only stir in after it has cooled down.

Enjoy as a spread

Spread directly on bread, toast or rolls.

Refine dishes

Honey is suitable for yoghurt, muesli, desserts or salad dressings.

Use in baking

Can be used as a natural sugar substitute, but the amount should be adjusted in recipes.
